Many people wonder why their dogs have bad breath. They just don’t realize that dogs need their teeth brush. Teeth brushing will help with the bad breath, and improve their health. Many diseases could be prevented by just brushing your dogs teeth two or three times a week.
How? You ask, well it’s simple. Make it fun by always rewarding them after with a snack or a walk. If it’s their first time brushing I recommend just putting a little of toothpaste (their favorite flavor) on your finger and rub their teeth in a circular motion. After a couple of weeks of brushing with your finger introduce the doggy toothbrush. Toothpaste and toothbrush could be found in any pet store (make sure it’s for dogs). Apply a small amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush and start brushing using a circular motion. Make sure to reach the back teeth. Once all the teeth are clean, thank them by giving them a treat or taking them out for a walk. Always be upbeat and remember to make it fun.

There’s nothing quite like Las Vegas in the summertime. If you’ve never experienced it, then I suggest you have to try it at least once in your life. For people that live here like I do, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Nothing beats stepping out in 112 degree heat, trying to get into your car as fast as you can only to realize it’s 140 degrees inside the car and your A/C can’t work fast enough.
For those that know and love the joys of a Vegas summer, I share with you today a recipe that my dogs can guarantee will cool you down faster than just a regular bowl of water. The ingredients are:
1 quart of orange juice
1 banana cut into pieces
1/2 cup plain yogurt
Blend all ingredients in a blender until you get a smooth liquidy consistency. Now get a few ice cube trays and pour the ingredients in. Put the trays in the freezer for a few hours until they are frozen. Go enjoy a walk with your pups and when you come back, you can treat them with these awesome iced treats they will surely love.
You might remember an earlier post I wrote about setting up either a Myspace or a Facebook account. Well for right now, I’m just setting a Myspace account. I will have a facebook account once I stop being so Lazy and have time to make one. I mean, I barely managed a Myspace account. So Friend Me if you like, because there’s nothing like having friends!
This weekend is 4th of July and everyone across the country is relaxing and spending some time celebrating with friends and family. It is a time to have fun and a chance to take your mind off work or other stresses for a while. But did you know this can actually be the most stressfull time of the year for your favorite little four legged pal? According to the Humane Society of America, most shelters pick up and get a lot of strays the day after July 4th. In fact, they even have a name for these missing pets: “‘July 4th dogs’—dogs who run off during fireworks celebrations and are rescued by animal control officers or good samaritans who take them to the safety of a local shelter.”

Rocco and Zero have had their own Myspace page for a while now and they’ve manage to update it on a semi-regular basis. They have even managed to add a few new friends here and there to my amazement, since you know they don’t have fingers and Rocco likes to chew on the mouse. This has led me to think maybe I might be the last person on earth without a Myspace account, and maybe it’s time I get one? Continue reading »
